Summer Week-Long Camps 2018
Camp Dates: June 25-29 July 9-13 July 23-27
[/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space][vc_single_image image=”2944″ img_size=”full”][vc_empty_space][vc_column_text]Young people ages 8-16 can attend a week of art camp focusing on the scenery and beauty of the Canal Park and Waterfront area, next to the shores of Lake Superior. The staff at On The Rocks Art Studio have over twenty years of experience teaching children ages 5-18 in the area of art education. Campers will paint a daily 16×20 acrylic painting focusing on the theme of Lake Superior and northern Minnesota. Camp artists will also have the opportunity to work with soft pastels, markers, drawing pencils, design the cover and back of the accordion style book process with watercolor and glaze a ceramic bowl. At the end of each camp artists will display their artworks in the gallery for an artist reception for family & friends to view their art.

8:00 Arrive at camp & Morning Drawing
8:30 Begin 16×20 Acrylic Painting
9:30 Healthy snack break provided
9:45 Daily walk and sketch in Canal Park area
10:45 Pastel, colored pencil drawing
11:30 Acrylic painting resumes
12:00 Lunch (campers provide own lunch) & Quiet Time, reading or drawing
1:00 Outdoor activity
2:00 Continue painting daily acrylic & painting or other art project
3:45 Ready to head for home
4:00 Parent pick-up time[/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space][vc_column_text]Registration Information Camp Cost:
Includes materials for 5 -16×20 acrylic painting, sketch book, glaze ceramic bowl, other paper and materials for daily drawing projects using soft pastels, colored pencils and markers. Pizza party on Friday afternoon during artist reception and gallery show.
$400 if paid in full before May 1st.
$450 Installment Plan
$225 due with registration
$225 due the first day of class
